View Full Version : Wrong resolution at playback

I'm using boxee in a macbook pro connected to a regular tv and the new version no longer works as expected: upon loading any kind of video the interface will jump out of full screen mode –in this case 800x600px– and go to a huge window that seems 1080 HD, even though nowhere in the preferences states that behavior.

What can I do to fix this issue?

hi,

try going into settings > appearance > screen and toggle resolution between window and full. exit after setting at full, and see if resolves.

I've had this same problem with the new version, and I double-checked to make sure my resolution was set to full screen. Any other ideas tsella?

I had the same issue...

I toggled it to windowed, quit the program, put it back to full screen, quit again. Now it works fine.

Thanks Tsella.

other than seeing its set to full screen, you should also toggle it to desktop, test, and back to fullscreen.

if still no good, please email me your ~/.boxee/userdata/guisettings.xml to tsella at boxee tv

Hey Tsella, thanks for the reply. I'm not quite sure what you mean...do you mean start Boxee, change it to windowed (tab) and then run a video, and see if it plays fullscreen or smaller?

Hi. I'm experience the same problem with player fullscreen video.
Running an iMac with resolution on 1920x1200 (tried 1024x640 as well).

Tried running window mode and switch to fullscreen and so on. Works nicely when boxee starts but when running a video it goes back to window mode.

Hi backer

Had the same problem try this ...make sure you are running the latest version(2908)

- go into settings->appearance->screen

toggle to "windowed" and click "OK" when you get the confirm dialog.
then toggle back to "full" and again - confirm.
then - restart boxee.

this should do the trick.

If it still does not work the email me your ~/boxee/userdata/guisettings.xml to marcel[at]boxee[dot]com

ah. now it works perfectly.
Noticed when going to "window mode" I needed to press the Test below.

Thanks man. This is so cool :)
