The pause button on the BB remote does not seem to work. The right arrow seems to put it into pause. The center button will then resume the playback.
Is this by design?

Yes, that's how it works currently.

Not sure about the difference between the US and Canadian Netflix differences.....But I press the center button to play and pause. Right arrow pauses, but is also used for fast forward.
So I find the center button works best for straight Play/Pause.
I'm in Canada by the way.

And apparently dictated by Netflix:
play/pause button on the remote doesn’t work for netflix and there is no resume option?

This type of stuff is not in our control

So on the US Netflix version you don't have "resume play" ? The Canuck version has Play/Pause and Resume Play. Although we don't have a queue which totally sucks.
I can't understand why Netflix doesn't implement this feature? Everyone that I've seen post from Canada bitches about it. It's such an obvious feature, I can fathom why they wouldn't implement it?

Here's an FYI for the Canuck Netflix functions on the BB Remote.
Play Pause button does nothing.
Center button Plays/Pauses Netflix movie
Right Arrow does Pause/Fast Forward
Top Arrow clicked twice exits out of Movie back to Netflix Menu
Home screen button exits out of Netflix
The main menu items in Netflix are:
Suggestions For You
New Arrivals
Genres
Search

No resume from Boxee Box but I do have it for PS3 and iPhone. The Play/Pause works of course, as you describe but not via the play/pause button on the remote.

Wow that sucks that you have no resume. That was one of the biggest pluses from going from PlayOn to the App. If PlayOn borked out in the middle of movie, 90% of the time it would go back to the beginning.
I think the other diff between the US and Canuck version is that we have "Suggestions For You" When you sign up, they ask you to go through the movies in every genre and rate them. They take those ratings and pick similar style movies to what you liked. It's not always accurate, but it's alright. I'd much rather have a queue or bookmarking system though.
Here's a shot of what the resume play looks like on Canadian Netflix. You guys don't have Mad Men seasons either, correct?

Neflix US has had "Suggestions for your" for a long time and it's included in the Boxee Box version. I'll double check the resume bit -- seems odd that CA would have and it and US would not.

Resume does work, at least from a movie that I started/stopped and then went back to all via the Boxee Box. Will try throw in another start/stop from another device later today and report back if it does NOT work to resume the same item from the Boxee Box.

Resume works, but there is no way to stop the movie/tv show you are watching to go back to the previous menu. You have to quit the Netflix App and then restart it all over again. It seems wasteful of time.

Try hitting the up arrow twice above the center button. That works for me. It takes me back to the main Netflix menu

Yes, Seasons One, Two & Three. The quality is excellent.
I heard the American Netflix doesn't have Mad Men? Mind you, The States has far better titles than Canada, but there is a lot of cross border licensing to work out I'd imagine.

Resume has been workig for me. I have at least a half dozen titles that I'm only partway through that it shows I can resume.

Is there any documentation for using the BB remote in the NetFlix App?
Thanks

This about covers it:
The "Middle" button plays / pauses. Pressing the "Up" button exits the movie. You can skip ahead and rewind using the "Side" buttons. The "Play/Pause" button does nothing.

Thanks That helps alot. Could you sticky this information in a post "Boxee Box NetFlix Help" and then add any other information to that first post that would help others work with netflix. If Boxee wants to sell the box in retail stores something needs to be done about the lack of documentation.
