Does anyone know if there is a software application that allows you to control your laptop using a remote such as a Logitech Harmony? It'd be nice to have an app that runs on your laptop that could interpret remote commands and launch applications/browse the web/email, etc from a remote control. Obviously display would be on your TV from your laptop via a cable. Let me know! It seems like something like this may be something I could use until the Windows version is released... Let me know!

you would need an ir/rf (depending on your harmony type) port first. look at usb-based ir/rf recievers with mce remotes.
then use winlirc (http://winlirc.sourceforge.net/), and associated software to control windows (see list of software at end of winlirc page).

There are several remote control apps for the iphone. You start the 'server' app on the PC, then run the 'client' app on the iphone via network address. Works well in my testing.

HIP works with existing remotes.
