The weather icon in Boxee for me today wasn't very clear. I could hardly make out what it was supposed to be. The little green cloud is tiiiiny and I had to squint at my display to make out what it is.

I've been randomly changing my location to bring up other whether symbols and all the others I came across seemed clear, including one that combined a sun and a cloud very effectively.

Seeing this other sun and the cloud one makes me wonder what my symbol is supposed to represent. Is the cloud tiny because theres less cloud? If so I'm sure that communicates very well at the moment.

So what is with this icon?

BTW, Is there a folder I can view all the weather icons without needing to randomly change locations? I'm using Linux.

what resolution are you using? this is "partly cloudy" i believe.

you can find the weather media at /usr/boxee/media/weather.rar

My resolution is 1024 X 768 which maybe isnt the best for testing the big screen experience, I'm willing to concede that maybe on a big screen it's more clear.

I wonder as well if there is a certain amount of learning curve as well, that once you have seen the Sun with larger green clouds on it then your eyes at a glance see that this little green thing is a cloud without needing to really study it.

I guess at the moment I'm kinda talking myself out of the there being any problem.

Looking through the symbols does make me wonder though...

What weather is this supposed to be? :p

LOL foresty-smelling wind? end-of-days floody?

I took the other symbols with the wiggly lines to mean mist/fog, but I guess it could also be wind. I have no idea where plantlife comes into it though. :p

I really like the style of the Boxee weather icons, but I will admit that the above is pretty baffling. Pollen alert, maybe?

What about selecting the icon and get a 6 day forecast in full screen mode? Or am I missing something?
