Ive got an odd one here. I searched the forum, but didnt find anything this. I have a Mac Pro running leopard. Some sources within Boxee play from the internal computer speaker, and other sources play via the analog line output as expected. For instance Hulu, Comedy Central, and CBS all play fine via the line out to my stereo. However if i try to play a dvd, listen to a mp3, or watch an episode of Diggnation via the Revision3 source the sound comes out the internal speaker. Has anyone else seen this? Is anyone else using a Mac Pro?
I downloaded XBMC today and the same quarky sound issues appear there too.

this is weird ..can you check your settings when you are playing a dvd or revision 3 and see what the are set to maybe they changed somehow..(settings>system)

I've got 10.5.5, and I have desktop speakers hooked up to my Mac. It's a surprise to find sound playing through the internal speaker.
They same files play through my external speakers on iTunes and QT.
What do you need to know to check this out?
According to Sys Prefs, my sound out is set to Built-in Line Output, not internal speaker. If I switch to internal speaker on QT, it plays on the internal speaker. Switching back to Built-in Line Output puts it on my external speakers.
My home movies on my fixed disk play through the internal speaker, some internet TV shows play through the internal speaker, some through the external, MP3s play internal.
Boxee says its version number is
0.9.3964

Good news, when i changed the setting to "Built-in Line Output" instead of "Built-in Output" it is working now! I thought I checked this, but i guess i missed it. Its weird it was even working at all. Thanks!

I changed my boxee settings, and now I get sound on some internet sources but not CNN, no sound on mp3s at all from itunes, and no sound on my videos.

I updated and that may have solved the problem. I'm stuck now on other issues, so I'll start a different thread.
