View Full Version : Netflix "User not loggedin" error

Hello!

First - let me say thanks for an absolutely fantastic application. For an alpha product, it is remarkably stable and just downright amazing.

I've set it up so that I can watch Netflix through the player, and it pulls down my queue and everything, but when I go to hit Play on one of my queued movies, I get an error message with an OK button:

Netflix

Movie playing failed.
User not loggedin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have tried relinking my account, to no avail.

You have to Authorize Netflix through boxee.tv/netflix. THEN, within the Netflix plugin in Boxee, you have to choose Login at the bottom of the Netflix menu. It's not obvious at first, but you'll feel silly.:p

got it - thanks!

its confusing because it holds your queue from the last time you logged in, so it feels as if you are still logged in.

I'm having a slightly different login problem -- when I try to log in to the Netflix player on boxee it tells me my user name and password are incorrect. But I've typed it about 100 times and the same e-mail address and password that work on the Netflix website do not work through boxee. Could it be causing a problem that I use a gmail alias address for my netflix login (i.e., the e-mail address has the characters "." and "+" in the part before the "@"; sometimes I've had other websites refuse to accept those characters...)?

I too have a gmail alias for my netflix acount, and get the invalid username/password during login.

I changed my netflix account name to a different email to try it out (one without an alias), and I was able to login. must be a bug with the email validation.
