streaming content by remote

You mean transcoding video from boxee and stream it to another device like the iPad App shown off at CES does ?

No what i want to do is beable to use the remote application to choose what is shown in boxee but more than just local conten

Do you want to be able to see on your remote what the computer sees? So you don't have to be in front of the TV to change music or an APP?

I would like to be able to do this? If I am streaming music and I am in another part of the house I dont want to have to walk to the TV and change the music. Kind of like the remote for itunes.

It sounds like he wants to add new stuff to the "Shows" listing. But it's hard to tell... neondawg really needs to explain a lot better what he wants to do.

again what I want to do is using a remote application. I already can have local content displayed on remote to choose what it played. I want to add streaming content to that so that steaming shows added to the my shows list can be selected and played using the remote(touchscreen/web)

So what i understand he want is to have a remote application running on say a Pc someplace and have that show up in show list on the Boxee box.. as playable or useable .. like playon do already.. only it don't showup in the show list.. I guess you have to make an Boxee application.. simply make it so only you know the repository url.. then install it on your boxee box.. it will show in the app list but not the show list..But i don't know if you know this but all of boxee application is remote to some place .i guess the thing would be is to create remote desktop application like remote desktop or teamviewer then you can run and control a pc from with boxee..
