New Boxee Crashing like crazy

I hate to be a killjoy, since I've been anxiously awaiting Dec 4 release.
I have been using the alpha release successfully for 6 weeks, and then
updated to the new version. After first upgrade installation, all I got was a black screen.
Tried a few more times with no joy.
Deleted Boxee completely and did a 'secure empty trash'
Downloaded again, reinstalled, and it worked a few minutes as I tested it but crashes every time I try to do something or play something.

iMac Intel Duo Core 2GHz
Tiger 10.4.11

Now I can only get the 'connecting' screen, and then it crashes every time.

Not crashing for me, but I get the connecting screen, and then it eventually tells me that my password is incorrect. Only I had signed in with the previous build just 10 minutes before without a problem.

mine just started doing the same thing. I had been connected just fine with the new build, then had boxee in the background while I did some web surfing. Came back an hour later and couldn't connect - password incorrect...

Earlier today on the previous build, I wasn't able to connect at all, just eventually timeout. Maybe it's just a huge amount of traffic today??

btw, I'm running on a MacBook Pro.
