What's the URL syntax for connecting to a network sharepoint? I get "no files found" or something to that effect whenever I try. I assume it's because I'm not providing the URL in the right format. I'm serving my media from OS X Server which is also doing internal DNS, so normally I can connect by server.domain.com/sharepoint. I thought maybe I needed to use \\server.domain.com\sharepoint but I don't seem to be able to type a backslash. I hit \ and it types /.

Also, does Boxee support AFP sharepoints, or would I have to use SMB? And out of sheer curiosity, does it support Kerberos single sign on?

hi.
the format to use is "uri like" - smb://[server]/[share]...
boxee currently does not support afp shares and *theoretically* kerberos single sign on can be used but never tested by me so it will be interesting to hear if you got it to work.

welcome to boxee :)

Still no luck. I can't find the server by scanning for it, or entering it manually. For manual entry, I tried it with both the DNS hostname and IP address, neither work. I have the server set as the master browser, and I even entered it into Boxee as the WINS server. I'm not sure what else to try though. Has anyone else tried connecting Boxee to OS X Server? Maybe it's having trouble authenticating when we're dealing with Kerberos and directory services. For reference, I'm running OS X Server 10.5.4.

In the meantime, I've been working around it by mounting the shares in the Finder and mapping it in Boxee as a local source. The only downside to that is I have to make sure the shares were mounted before launching Boxee.
