Did some searching, its a helpful tool :), still missing 2 questions!
So I was thinking about purchasing the Mediasonic 4 Bay USB 2.0 device and was wondering some questions, if anyone knows the answers with one please let me know, I am looking about about $380 for the device plus 4 2TB drives...
1. Really dumb question, but will BBox see each drive individually or will it see 8TB single drive? How does it format it? Also, what format do people recommend, NTFS?

2. If it views it as 4 separate drives, there is no issue only buying 2 to start with correct?
- No issue
3. Hows the power up/power on features? I want it to be able to cycle on/off automatically with BBox being on or off.
- "Orange Mode" will power off and on properly
4. What about sleep mode for the BBox, will it know to cycle into a "sleep" mode as well? I would doubt this.
5. Does anyone recommend the HF2-SU3S2 (USB 3.0) instead even though BBox doesn't support USB 3.0? It's a $50 difference.
6. How annoying are the fans in it, it will be in a semi-ventaliated TV stand with the fans facing out the open front (so I don't have to see the blinking lights hidden behind my BBox.
- Mixed results on fan noise, probably opinion and how close you are. Hard Drives are typically louder
7. Does BBox support port multipliers so this will work properly?
- Not sure, however people are using it with USB on the BBox fine.
8. Price check... its $99 right now online, anyone know a cheaper place, also I am going to put in possibly 4 2TB WD Green drives about $70 a pop.
- Looks like newegg.com has the best price ($99) right now. Amazon.com wants $108.
- Dell.com has the lowest price I can find on the 2TB Green drives. $89.99 with a $20 mail in rebate
