Changing view options for videos

I'm sure this is easy, but I can't figure out how to change the view options for my videos. Right now I see a list with a screenshot at the right; are there not other options for viewing one's video collection?

Also, since my videos are on an external drive, is there a way for this video collection to show when I select VIDEO without my having to select my source drive?

I'll try here but i'm about as new as you are.

1. Use the "right" cursor move and move all the way to the right...and keep going past that. If there are other view options they should pop open in a tray that opens on the right of the main screen showing other icon layouts and sort options.

2. Once you've got the sources defined let boxee run overnight. It'll find those video files it can recognize and populate the Movie/TV Show screen. For those TV shows that it can't get from the file name or exising metadata, if you manually play them from the source list and then hit the play/pause button to get the control menu and then go up and right to "settings". I think you can input more info about show/movie name and season, episode and it'll go off to some database and populate the meta files. Then it'll show up after boxee works a while later on. For movies I think you select a file from the source list and select "recognize" and it'll help you find enough info and make it "showupable" :)

This is is all from a tired memory but it'll sort of get you headed in the right direction anyway.

wgoosey, thank you for that post...I am going to let my collection populate through he night and see if it resolves my issue. I am expeirecing the same problem as longterm
