smb mac issue

What´s the status on the SMB problem on mac os, where Finder returns an error on available disc space and restricted access? Any workaround besides using Terminal, which I find extremely cumbersome

please try upgrading to 10.6.5
other users that had the same issue reported that it solved the issue

Sorry, I´ve already got 10.6.5 on both my macs, both of them are affected by the problem
