it would be awesome to watch television via the "almost-standard" for watching televsision on a mac: eyetv in boxee.

is this planned?

if its plannend... boxee will be the most awesome mediacenter ever made...

eventually, i believe, we'll have this integrated into boxee.

for the meanwhile you can use a third party streamer to make a network stream, and load that into boxee. see http://forum.boxee.tv/showpost.php?p=591&postcount=5

another piece of software that may be useful (buyer beware: have not tested) http://www.lucid-cake.net/cytv/index_en.html for creating a net stream for pickup.

there's a new version of CyTV now available that's much better than 0.6 pre 5:

works great for me just simply streaming to my windows box and vlc, but most importantly looks like it could be fairly easily integrated into boxee, with its network stream creation and improved web control interface.

before doing all the work to get eyetv cooking on boxee from scratch, this might be a great place to start, and the developer seems pretty helpful.
