I'm in the USA, received my box on the 11th and left work early to set it up! Started it up, upgraded the software, easily added shares from a WD Worldbook NAS and began enjoying it until..... it froze.
And it froze again and it froze again. It generally does so after 10-30 minutes of use and mostly when I'm navigating menus or returning to it after a couple of hours of not using it. It's also frozen while watching a local video. Remote becomes useless and I do a manual reboot. I'm using the included power supply and HDMI cable. My Roku is on the same TV and power strip and has worked like a champ for a year.
I've disabled sleep in hopes that it will continue to scan my NAS which it has never finished doing since the 11th and perhaps not freeze. It's always been frozen after a couple of hours of not being used (but having been on.)
This morning I did a factory reset, it upgraded again and continues to freeze. I'm hoping that a forthcoming update will cure many of our woes, but I haven't seen many freeze comments, so here's mine.
Anyone else?
PS - I'd LOVE to see a sticky from the Boxee brass with an aggregated list of what's been reported here. They could title it something like: "We see your posts and here's what's up." Their silence is deafening.
PPS - Major thanks to other early adopters for all of their posts. It's nice to not be alone. I'm planning on sticking this out to see the full potential of this box.
