View Full Version : BUG: Overlays in full-screen flash videos

Hi everyone,

Let me preface this by saying that, considering its ability to play ALL of my local media files, the Boxee Box has already exceeded my expectations. Now that I have all my local content just the way I like it, I've started branching out and exploring some of the content available online and have noticed a bug that comes up relatively frequently.

When viewing flash video on websites that have other flash ads on the page, I sometimes find that, when I fullscreen the video, ads further down somehow start overlaying the content. This goes away when I turn off fullscreen. Something similar, but slightly different, also occurs when I watch Fancast videos (e.g. Conan). Here, a little triangle and line (like the seek arrow) overlays itself to the fullscreen. Not huge, but pretty distracting on a white background.

Anyone else seeing these?

-Dima

Yes, I experience this as well. It's pretty annoying - but I haven't found a fix. It seems to be whenever there is a flash advertisement combined with flash video on one page.
