Boxee running very well on my old AMD 3400+, ubuntu 8.04, ati x1300 with catalyst 8.7.
Even handles HD videos well including most 1080p content, something it struggled with under windows.
After I launch the boxee client, it works fine so long as I keep it fullscreen. If I switch to windowed mode there are video glitches (looks like it keeps refreshing the overlay, i.e. anything inside the boxee window flashes on-off very fast). Once I go back to fullscreen the overlay disappears but rest of the desktop is still visible, boxee is still running just not visible. I can then go back to windowed but never back to full screen.
Also I can't re-launch the client. Even if I logout and log back in, the boxee client only runs the first time after each boot. Any subsequent starts the client shows up as an active application ("0 Items Loading..."), then just returns to the desktop.
Minor issues, but if there is any debugging I can do that might help me sort out either of these issues I'm open to suggestions.
