The unit will no longer scan new sources that I add. How do I reset to factory defaults?
Thanks!

Turn it off. Then press and hold the power button for a few seconds ( 5ish works for me) and release. It should go into a Recovery Mode menu.
You'll know you did it right because the Boxee logo on the box itself will light up yellow instead of green.

Turn off bbox.
Hold power button more than 5 but less than 6 seconds.
It will restart with grey screen and load for some time.
Eventually the logo on the box will go red.
Then a menu will pop up with options.

If you hold the power button down for 6-7 seconds the Boxee led should go to orange

There's a power button on the Box itself, on the "lowest corner".

How long is this supposed to take? I held the power button in for about 5 seconds and the BB-logo went red. Now its blinking between red and green and I only have the BB loading picture on the tv. This has been going on for about 20 minutes.. Doesn´t seem right to me.

Unplug the power cord and wait for 30-40 seconds then, plug it back and now hold the power button on top of box for 6-8 seconds and the recovery console should appear . See the link: http://support.boxee.tv/entries/20778533-boxee-box-recovery-console .
