I am a newbie to boxee. I have had it installed for a couple of days, and I completely love it. I am running it on an Intel Mac mini. The one problem I've had it that I once I am in the full screen mode, I am unable to exit the app. I am forced to kill it.
Does anyone know of a workaround?

I cannot offer a definitive solution - only some empathy ...
when we first installed boxee we had the same problem, we could not quit it ...

nothing changed, at least in regards to the version, but somehow the problem fixed itself... I have noticed the connecting via VNC (particularly with OSX) may make the app look unresponsive but a <tab> will usually show that you can do a File-->quit

if its a bug, I suggest you post in the bug forum, the team is great about suggesting ways to provide more detail

you can also try cmd+q to close boxee..

You also use Tab and that will exit you from full screen and keep boxee running.

these workarounds are good for now but we are always working on trying to improve this situation and make it more user friendly..

Thanks everyone. I tried the cmd+q to quit and it worked. I've also have had boxee hang a couple of times, and I've started using cmd+option+esc to kill the boxee process.

I'll check out the bug forum and post my issues there as well.

I have the same issue with boxee on my mac. It's hit or miss if it will exit or not so now I just (apple)(tab) and then quit from there. I hope it rights itself with future updates.

are you guys saying you can see the Exit button in the bottom left but when you click it nothing happens...?

i was reading this thread because i've noticed that if i have media playing, the "Now Playing" button appears on the top left and forces the Exit button down a level. I then get an arrow at the bottom below settings that gives me the impression i should be able to click or hover over it to be able to scroll down to Exit but it doesn't do anything when i try this. anybody else ever see this happen?

i have a MacBook Pro that displays full screen at 1440x900.. not sure if that is perhaps why... that maybe my screen is just too short or something...

just wondering if anyone else has ever run across this...
