Boxee box Remote

Did a search and couldn't find anything. Does anyone know if the Boxee Box Remote (the one that comes with it) has any type of backlight\illumination for use in dark rooms From pictures and videos it appears that it has some bright green paint on the secondary function keys, but nothing else. A few people ahve been wondering about this over at AVS, so I thought I would ask over here. Thanks for any information you can share.

According to this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_07oasmLIA4&feature=related) @2:40, the girl at CES demoing the boxee says that there isn't, that its "pre production". So mabye they will have it?? But currently no. =(

Thank you for the reply, it will dissapoint a few people, but what can you do ;) I think some people with dedicated dark rooms may struggle with the remote if the keys dont glow in the dark and there is no backlighting. For me though Usually I dont use the keys like that in a totally dark room....

Nothing a small battery powered LED lite can't fix - I use one on a Lenovo N5901 remote - works great -- but my favorite is the back lit Rii remote - which I'm hoping will work on the BBox

Cool. Do you mean a controller mod? Or an actual commercial controller LED lite? If it's the latter, then can you provide a link to it?

I don't have the actual link for the LED lite - it's just a "Very" lowpriced battery powered LED lite - meritline.com offers many different types/shapes for extremely low prices -- if your not in a big hurry, put your email address on their list and keep an eye on the next few emails - there should be one offered for an outrageous price - the one I got (as a two pack - email special) cost me $.75 - shipped from China :eek: - I don't know how they can do that :confused:

You could also buy some glow in the dark stickers for a DIY haha
