Hi there

Long time MCE user (FrontRow, Vista, XBMC et al), first time boxee user :)

Here's my setup, for context: MacBook 2.0ghz, 2GB, etc. 20" widescreen external monitor (1680x1060?). Most video (mp4, mov, some DIVX) on a TimeCapsule (symlinked under Movies).

Boxee works nice on this setup, EXCEPT if I'm sitting in the couch, which is about 3m from the screen. At that distance, the text is pretty much unreadable. The size is fine, but the green and black is the issue.

For contrast, FrontRow on this setup is perfectly readable at 3m. I can see the box shots, but the text, not so much.

Are there plans to make the skin have more contrast, so it can be viewed from a distance better?

thanks - otherwise, looking nice!

Cheers

Nic

i think you may be right and the combination of colors, font, spacing may make it a bit hard to read.

we'll look into improving it in time for the beta

Is there docs around for where to look for the theme? or is it baked into the app?

I could give it at try to change it and see hot well it works. I dont think it needs much.

Or, I could just go out and buy a 32" TV :) But given we dont have broadcast TV (or enough deskspace), there isn't too much point.

../boxee/skin/Boxee Skin NG/

it's all done in XML.
