Hello,

I am attempting to build Boxee from source for 64-bit Fedora 10. There have been a few minor things I've had to work around, but now I am at a binary blob of libBoxee.a (and libtxpath.a, libtxml.a) which puts me at an impasse.

Is there a 64-bit version available of these binaries? I don't mind setting up a dedicated 32-bit box for the media center, but I'd love to run Boxee on my laptop as well (which has F10 64-bit installed).

Thanks,
Jeff

The problem is that there are several other binary bits of Boxee that just won't work in 64 bit land. There are closed source players for things. The building from source is really just the XBMC part of boxee. The upshot is that you can't create boxee for an unsupported platform (like PowerPC, 64 bit OS, Windows).

Do you know what the closed source players are? If they are standalone executables, that shouldn't pose a problem, I can install the i386 libraries to support it.

At the very least, the files in /opt/boxee/system/players/flashplayer/. You can grab a download of the latest version on my web site (see sig)

Well, we're in luck with flash at least, since there's a beta of the 64-bit plugin now available. Works quite well for me, so far:
