Brand New Users - Some Questions

Hey,

So I managed to snag myself an invite and have just installed it on my iMAc - been looking forward to this for ages and will have a proper play this weekend !

Couple of leading questions;

- all of my content is on a Linkstation Live which I've found no problem, however when browsing through the songs (for example) I don't see the album artwork or indeed any other information. Will the scan ahppen automatically or do I need to push it ?

- under the music menu there are two sub menus (artist and albums) Will the content on my linkstation ever appear under here as it's much easier to search for stuff here than drilling down into the folders on the linkstation

- any plans for a genre sub-menu under music ?

- how do I link my Flickr account(s) and last.fm account to my boxee account?

- anyway to link to the Flickr Explore pages so they get automatically updated every day?

Sorry for the blast of questions - just looking to make the most of my Boxee experience now I've got it ...

boxee automatically scans you media in the background ..just leave it parked a few hours...if some content is not indexed or indexed incorrectly you can manually recognize it later...

when your media is indexed it will be placed into these folders...yopu can view the sources via music>sources>{your share}

go to settings>application settings...

i do not know this option ..but i believe currently no..

okay so I've left boxee running over night twice now - more than enough time to index I'm sure but it is still not doing it?

Do I need to do something special to get it to index a network attached storage area? I've added that area as a source already.

For music, nothing appearing under artist or album
For video nothing appearing under movie or TV (then again I'm not sure how it tells the difference)
Nothing Appearing under pictures

I can get to my content by following the "other sources" option.

there seems to be an issue with the "buffalo link station and terstation " dropping the last character's check this thread out http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=2547&highlight=buffalo

doh ... I'll have a look at the workaround but it sounds a little log winded, especially for lots of content :(

try sending an email to buffalo and tell them the problem ....i also sent them an email and came back to me with version numbers etc but since i have not got their product there was nothing else i could do..
