Hi, my setup my be different to your, so take whatever relivant info you need. And please let me know if you know of a better way.
My Setup :
Windows 7 x64 (Dual Monitor: PC Monitor & 42" TV on HDMI)
Wireless KB&M and DualShock/Sixaxis Playstation Controller for gaming and controlling Boxee.
I'd like to point out that my display setting in boxee is set to 1080 on my TV, and I use UltraMon to make a seperate taskbar for the secondary monitor (TV) this keeps boxee off my main displays taskbar.
I controll boxee with a PS3 Sixaxis controller over Bluetooth. To get the controller to work with windows, visit www.motionjoy.com for the drivers and instructions, it gives you a program to install the drivers, and allows you to map your controller to keyboard keys.
Now that it's installed, you make a custom profile within the "DS3Tool" from motionjoy, and map the following buttons to the following keyboard keys
O = ESC (Back)
X = Enter (Confirm)
Start = Space (Pause/Play)
DPad = Arrow Keys (Navigate/FF/RW/Volume)
PS Button = PrintScreen (only realy relative if you have the same setup as mine)
Now you will be able to controll boxee with your Sixaxis controller! But if your setup is like mine, it's a pain because you will need Boxee in focus for it to pick up the comands from the controller/keyboard, so what I did was download EventGhost, and set that to monitor a change in the clipboard, and when it has picked up the change, it focuses on Boxee, hence the PrintScreen mapping. Or you can set it to open boxee, so if it's closed it'll open, or if it's open already, it'll focus back onto it.
Sounds like a bit of a pain, but well worth it when it's all set up, I've been using this method for a few days now flawlessly :) if anyone knows a better way please let me know. I was hoping boxee would support game controllers nativly. I'd be happy to help anyone that wants to set this up, or upload the EventGhost setup file.
Good luck
thanks
