Under "Music" in Boxee, I have about 7700 songs resolved (0 unresolved). They are sorted by artist and such. When I view and artist or album, the genre shows in the information.
However, the option to filter by genre is disabled. The genre filter ability is an absolute must for me to have, especially given the lack of playlist support.
All my music files are non-DRM in iTunes (and tagged in iTunes).
This is a major concern to me as I am seriously considering ordering a Boxee Box instead of an Apple TV. If this will continue to be an issue, however, I will go with the Apple TV, as music is about 1/3 of the reason I'm buying one to begin with.
