How can I? I dont want to just waste power, I'd love it if there was a sleep mode. OR can I just use the sleep mode on my computer? I havent had much luck using the Windows Sleep system and boxee.
Any tips would be awesome.

Have you tried setting Enable power saving when idle?
There is a setting in Settings > Look & Feel > Screensaver called 'Enable power saving when idle'. I have not done any test with it, but if it does what it says then this might be what you are looking for.

The power savings on idle works for me. I have it set to go black after 5 min of inactivity (which will also cause my tv to shut off as I have it set to go off after 10 min of no input) and then I have windows set to go to sleep after 1 hour.
Every once in awhile it wont sleep after an hour when the "What next" screen is up but eventually it shuts off.

When I use the power savings on my Macbook (2006 model, Snow Leopard), I see the TV screen go off, but then it comes back on. I can't seem to get the system to go to sleep after any amount of idol time.
Anyone have a solution??
