Can the Boxee Box be controlled by the iPhone App?

Having said that the Boxee box appears as if it'll run almost the exact same software as available for other OSs, including the iOS listening server, so I'd be surprised if it wasn't supported (and of course, Boxee have an official app out, so makes even more sense they'd tie their official app to their official hardware).

It would be my guess that the Boxee Box would support the iPhone remote app given the Box is set up the same way... the iPhone is connecting to WiFi that is on the same subnet as your Boxee Box.

In the last 10 seconds of the demo he says that you can use the iPhone app.

Get the iphone app to work on the boxee box. Yes, I recieved mine last weekend. I set it up last night... works well now and will be even better with Hulu Plus and Netflix.

Yes the Boxee box will work with the iPhone/iPod Boxee remote

I've downloaded the iphone boxee remote app for my iPad and it doesn't seem to work with the Boxee box. I cannot get it to automatically find the boxee, nor does any manual configuration work. Does any body have any tips on how they got their remote app to work? Or a step by step guide?

I can't remember the defaults, but make sure in Settings>>Network>>Servers that the web server is enabled:
http://support.boxee.tv/entries/323073-settings-network

If you still can't connect, it may mean that the web server isn't answering / running so then you could try power cycling the Boxee Box.
