The biggest appeal to me was to run internet startups like Revision3, or YouTube, and other things like that.
What I'd REALLY like was a SurfTheChannel.com plugin, or some sort of support. That would be AWESOME. IT'd truly make Boxee the best Media Center app in my eye.

surfthechannel is an interesting site.. we are trying to focus our internal development effort on the core xbmc/boxee platform. there are plenty of sites we'ld like to integrate, but don't get to.

stuff like STC could be done by any developer with some python skills.

the plugin linked on page 6 is barely functional, I was only able to get one video to play with it (in boxee).

also particularly note voinage's post on page 6 of that thread. the administrators of STC don't want guys like us to mess with their site, and so all of our hard work would go to waste when they change the site to disrupt the functionality of the plugin.

i suggest that you check out Unbehagen's XBMC plugin pack ( http://theendofthelongestline.de/xbox/download/xbmc-plugins/index.php ) - XBMC plugins should be compatible with boxee, and there's a few plugins in his pack for sites that are similar to STC.

edit: the 'tv shack' plugin in the pack linked above will provide the same functionality as surfthechannel & works in boxee.
