ok, here's a dumb question:
partially due (I think) to having an ati card, my somewhat old (2.2ghz athlon xp) computer has a lot of trouble playing streaming videos (from hulu, etc) fullscreen. the cpu gets pegged at 100% and i get approx 5-15fps of video playback. sound via pulseaudio works fine.
one thing i noticed, is that if i actually go to hulu.com, right click the video, and select 'low quality' (as opposed to 'high', which flash had defaulted to), i have much better luck.
is there a way to set this from inside of boxee? i know the true answer is to get some better hardware and perhaps an nvidia card, but i'd like to see how far i can push this old box.
