You should start an IRC channel on freenode for support and hanging out like the XBMC folks have. Also it is a great place for developers to get support or sometimes direct conversations with other developers. It also is a wonderful jumping off point for people to get involved with the project. Anyway keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see the rtmp stuff finished nudge nudge. :)

it's not like you need permission! just set one up yourself and idle there until people see this thread and join the channel!

Awesome,
#boxee channel has begun, it is 2 strong now, and starving for more users, and perhaps even bored developers. ;)
Anyway, BUMP

i guess people dont have too much love for irc.Maybe if you added a web-client interface for the channel on Boxee website as an online support chat, that way one those people who do not like using IRC desktop applications could still chat away in that same IRC channel using your web-client interface

A web IRC client would help a lot...
There are also people like me, who are (or pretend to be:)) at work, where they cannot access anything not using HTTP (Port 80) and thus cannot use a native IRC client, but would like to hang out there...
So a link from the Boxee website would be much appreciated!

I have also found that theres a boxee channel on Undernet as well. Seems to be alot smaller but a tad more helpfull.
/server us.undernet.org
/join #boxee
Some of you might want to check that one out as well.
