View Full Version : scanning source

I'm running the newest version of Boxee (12563), and with this last version update, I can no longer rescan my local sources. All the current files on the drive work correctly, and all the new files can be found by browsing through Boxee.
All that happens when I click "Scan Source" is that "Media Source Will Be Rescanned" comes up in the corner and then "Media Source Successfully Updated" appears a second later.
Is anyone else having this problem?

Has nobody seen this? If not, I'm going to try and install a fresh version of Boxee or something.

I've seen that on occasion - think its fine if either left alone, o certainly i've got it to re-scan by exiting, then re-starting boxee

Yeah, it should say this. But boxee does not just start indexing again right away. It should start in about 4minutes or so.
You can also set the source to scan once daily or Monitored (very frequent). I set it at monitored if I'm adding a bunch of stuff over the day so it triggers frequent indexing.
Also, if you are playing video or using any apps, boxee will not index.;)

Well I tried switching the frequency before, but I guess I didn't do that in conjunction with waiting for up to 10 minutes after I requested the scan.
So, short answer, problem solved. Thanks.
