Up until a couple of months ago I loved boxee. Now however I find it unusable. The audio is ahead of the picture, and it seems to get more ahead the longer the movie plays.

I have a late 2009 macmini, the analogue audio is connect to my amp and the mini displayport is connected via hdmi to my TV.

Both VLC and quicktime play OK. It's just boxee that appears to be the problem.

I have done a complete reinstall, clearing down the stuff under library but nothing seems to make a difference.

Wife and darling daughters are getting increasingly annoyed with daddy so I really need some help here.

I've noticed this problem recently as well, though I haven't isolated it to the Mac... it seems to be an issue with my more recent .m4v content. I believe I have an audio setting incorrect during my rip process. Older video files don't seem to have the video lag.

Nonetheless, for each video, you can change the audio response to either sooner or later. Kind of a hassle, but it's a fix. My only issue is the setting overlay takes up half the screen which makes it hard to watch the video while listening!

Please try unchecking the "Enable Hardware " option under Settings >Media > Advanced and make sure the Vertical sync is always enabled under Settings >Look & Feel >Advanced

I have tested with a Nvidia mac mini (not the last one). Unchecking the hardware acceleration box solve the issue.
