Exit With DVD In Drive

[Siberia]

I tried looking for solutions to this and couldn't find one at the moment.

Running on Ubuntu 8.04 HH, boxee will load up to the select a profile to login page and then exit but this only occurs when a DVD is in the drive. Take it out, boxee runs perfectly fine.

Main System Specs:
AMDX2 4200, 2GB RAM, 7600GT 256MB, Sony DVD/RW

Any ideas or is extra information needed?

this is weird ..please post the output of /tmp/xbmc.log (run terminal or Application > Accessories > Text Editor, and open /tmp/xbmc.log) with the DVD in the drive.
also, please try running boxee from command line, as it might give more insights into the problem.

open terminal and run /usr/boxee/run-boxee-desktop.

The DVD contains .MKV files which themselves I don't see why they would cause the problem as when in my local video source they play through boxee fine.
