backward search not working on .mkv

hi, i have copied most of my DVD's using handbrake and all play fine, however when i try and search backwards through a movie it searches forwards. Does this happen to anyone else?

what codecs and container did you use?

ie:
720p h.264
256 aac
.avi container

if you're not sure, please post a screenshot of your handbreak settings.

i just picked the film setting and left everything as it was.
