When i first start playing a video file, its playing faster than normal. including the audio. If i pause and hit play again, it starts to play normally. Any Suggestions?

It also tends to stutter when playing back video from my external harddrive, mainly high def stuff. it looks like it rebuffers the video. any way to increase the buffer?

Also, right now i had Boxee index an external harddrive. Is there a way i can transfer that index to my laptop so i don't have to reindex it?

Final question, i have a NAS which is an exact copy of that external harddrive. Can i use the index to browse the NAS without reindexing it?

thanks!

Disregard the fourth question, it seems to do that automatically since the volumes have the same name

I give the ans regarding the first question. If You have set the sound track as the automated mode , Then It had been played at the different surrounded voice. I hope that It could be helpful. So You will have to save that sound track as manually mode.

I'm not sure what you are saying...

As for question 3, i found a partial answer. I copied my database folder over. But how could i keep it in sync? I tried using dropbox and having the database folder in there, but it doesn't follow the shortcut/alias/link. it only works when the folder is in the right place.

I'm having the same problem as well. About 4 days ago my entire video library (local files) disappeared except for 4 videos. I deleted the source, re-added and had to reboot my mac mini and then Boxee kicked off a search and found all of the video again. Problem is now whenever I play any video off of my media server the video and audio play faster than they should. They also seem to be out of sync, but that could be because of the speed-up. TV streaming, netflix all work fine.

Prior to all of this the videos played just fine. No issues at all.

Tried the local videos in XBMC and VMC without any problems, so I know the files are good on the Mini. The video files are the same ones I've been serving to my Xbox 360 for the last two years off of the same media server.

The only thing I've done to the system in the last few days is update my Flash installation. I don't see what that would have to do with video playback for a local file.
