I have ubuntu hardy heron and i have installed the last version.

Ok i can log in but when i arrive on the main screen the arrow keys seem don't work.

In my .boxee config i have enabled the mouse support. Only in this manner i can move throu the menu but it's uncomfortable because i want to use my keaboard or my remote supported by linux.

Thanks :)

ok. i'm guessing http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=195 is also the same issue.

we have not seen this issue. can you give some details on your respective hardware, and include a snippet from /tmp/xbmc.log while trying to do something on the keyboard?

thanks @Garret! there's a few things i don't like about your log. lets start with this though -

please try running boxee with root privs -

sudo /usr/boxee/run-boxee-desktop

and again include log

Hello,

I have almost the exact same problem, after I installed ubuntu (clean install) and installed boxee, I can open boxee and login just fine. But after I get in the main menu Im stuck on "Whats New". Wenn I push my keyboard arrows, none of them work.

Except for the upper arrow key. Wich brings me to the weather options. Wenn in the main menu, and having "Whats New" selected, pressing the "enter" key does nothing.

Ive tested the other buttons on my keyboard, the "S" key seems to work for quit/suspend. But thats about it, so basicly, I cant use boxee at all right now.

Im using:
Ubuntu Linux 8.04 (Hardy Heron)
Intel P E2180 2.0gighz
3gig memory
asus P5L motherboard

Also Im very new to linux/unix, the only reason I installed it was cause I heard some good things about boxee.

@Garret - much appriciated. since you're running in debug, you should have numbers on the top of your screen indicating free memory, frames per second, and cpu usage. please advise on average for these numbers.

also, from your log i noticed you're running at 1680x1050. can you please change your desktop resolution to something lower, and try again?

also, there is an error triggered in the Keyboard.xml file. its not generating issues to anyone else, but lets try anyhow. open ~/.boxee/UserData/Keymap.xml, search for <home>XBMC.ActivateWindow(10000)</home> and remove that line.

thanks!

Nothing to do. I will wait for a more stable release.
