This is really frustrating. I've been using Boxee on and off - when it works, I love it. But it seems to only "work" about 20% of the time.
My set up - all MAC
Two systems - My MacBook Pro, and
A mac mini - my Mac Mini is connected to my TV
I have a Time Capsule with a 500GB external "media" drive attached - all my movies & TV shows are on there.
My MacBook Pro works fine
My Mac Mini consistently has problems. I've tried 2 approaches:
Approach #1:
I've been able to "add" the Time Capsule media HD (a NAS drive thru Samba?) - seems to scan alright (all-be-it slowly). Everything shows up in Boxee.
Come back the next day & it says - it's "Scanning Media Folders" when I try to access either Movies or TV - nothing shows up.
Approach #2:
I connected a USB 1T HD to the Mac Mini (copy all media content to that drive). Added that to Boxee - scanned - seemed to be fine.
Came back next day - no movies or TV shows (in fact, no longer has that HD listed as media)
Any ideas?
