First off, I LOVE BOXEE!! Can't stop using it! I'm running 0.9.3964 on an AppleTV. Now that that's out of the way:
Last.fm UI bug: When you go into Last.fm and do a search for similar artists, say for example I type "Lemon Jelly" and click Done, then in the list that comes up next, the option I most likely want, "Listen to Lemon Jelly similar artists last.fm radio", is always the VERY LAST option in the list, but it really should be the first option in the list. Sometimes it's a very long list, so it's annoying to always have to scroll to the bottom to get to the option that actually plays the music. It seems like the most obvious option, the option to listen to music based on the artist you just typed in, should always be right at the top.
General UI complaint: Please work on eliminating some required clicks. When I select a shoutcast radio station to play, an additional and largely useless screen appears that just has options for "Play" and "Read More". This is annoying. Think about how often you or I (or anyone) is likely to want to "Read More". I only ever clicked "Read More" once out of curiosity to see what it does, not because I was interested in reading something. I think people just want to play the station, not read. It would be nice if this screen were eliminated and the station would just start playing without requiring another click. If we want to read more about whatever station we're playing, we should have the option to do that while it's playing.
This complaint is worse with the last.fm UI, because when you select something like, "Listen to Lemon Jelly similar artists last.fm", the next screen appears that only has one option: Play. So why does this screen even exist? It should just start playing when I click "Listen to...", there's no reason to present the user with a follow-up screen that only has a play button on it.
Real Serious Bug: When you click a shoutcast station and then click Play and it starts to load that station, if the shoutcast server it's trying to connect to is really slow or doesn't respond, there's no way to cancel out and try a different station. You're just stuck looking at that spinning daisy wheel until you reboot your AppleTV in frustration. You need to be able to cancel the connection attempt when the shoutcast server is not responding in a timely manner (or not responding at all).
To reproduce this bug, just go into shoutcast and start clicking around on random stations. It won't take too long before you hit on one that's REALLY REALLY slow to load, and then you'll see how annoying it is that you can't just change your mind and choose something else.
