I really hope that a keymap.xml will be created eventually for boxee and the Harmony remote. I would love (as many other users would) to be able to use my play button, ff button, exit button, favorites button, etc. rather then a remote on my phone, or even worse my keyboard and mouse. XBMC has full harmony support, and you can even customize the remote to your own liking. Turn subtitles on and off with the push of a button, change resolutions, etc. Please boxee, implement harmony support!

P.S. Sorry if this has been answered before - to my knowledge no devs have ever replied to the harmony threads.

I've been trying to use Boxee more than Front Row (but have difficulty because we use EyeTV and the plugin for Front Row is very good and no replacement in Boxee). Any time I watch a DVD though I seem to get "stuck" with my Harmony Remote and can't get out. I end up having to pull up the iPhone app to fix it. I love my Mac Mini Media machine, but I'm the only person in the house who can really control it, because there are just too many "gotchas" with Boxee, Front Row and Plex. None of them really is "foolproof" at this point, and apparently our house is a ship of fools :-)

I second this. My harmony one is useless without the basic Play/Pause/Stop etc.. Functions. Until better IR support I have to stick with Media Center.

I use my harmony remote with boxee. I just told Harmony that it was a Windows Media Center device, which got all the key mappings close, then just tweaked it to my liking. I can't remember if play/pause/stop was mapped by default, but I do know I have them working now.

As for additional things like subtitles, "i" key, etc...I haven't worked on that yet.

The media center lay out of Harmony works until some extent. I would be good if Boxee supported the Media Center Remote completely out of the box since that seems to be what most people use. Then you will have to program your harmony as a Media Center remote with out fussing. Ask for this at Get Satisfaction!
