How do I delete things?

How do I...

1. Delete files?

2. Get Boxee to acknowledge that files have been deleted?

Maybe I'm missing some obvious instructions, or maybe every person on Boxee keeps every single film and TV episode they ever grab; but I would quite like Boxee to be able to delete files from within the app, AND more importantly just acknowledge that they have been deleted from outside the app.

If there are instructions then please point me in the right direction, or maybe the developers could put some in the app itself?

Currently you can not delete files from the Boxee interface; I believe that Boxee team is re-thinking this and we will most likely see a delete files function of some sort in a future release.

If you delete things outside of Boxee I would expect that the next time that folder is rescanned, it shouldn't show in Boxee but I haven't fully tested it myself.

Currently however if you tell Boxee to rescan a folder and/or change the scanning frequency, it will empty out the database and then re-populate it (which may take some time depending on the number of files, etc). I don't think it's meant to work that way but I'm not sure if it's been reported in the issue tracking system either.
