Mac Boxee and Windows network share with Office 2010

Just a heads up regarding the issue where having the Office Live add-in installed on a Windows PC prevents Boxee on a Mac from browsing network shares on that computer...

If you install Office 2010 (the final version went up on TechNet the other day so I'm testing that), you will encounter the same problem only this time Office Live isn't a separate add-on so you're screwed.

does it prevent the mac from accessing the windows share, or just boxee on a mac from accessing it?

Same issue here Boxee seems to see my windows computer however fails it fails to connect.

Any news on this it's really frustrating and I can't just remove office. :confused:

Hey folks -

I know issues like this suck. Trust me, everyone works super hard to get these fixed. Sometimes though a little extra information can go a long ways. Can someone help out with the outstanding questions?

Can you connect to the share from osx (go to finder, connect to server) but not through boxee? Or does osx have difficulty connecting also?

Is there a bug in jira for this?

Please open a bug at Jira (http://jira.boxee.tv/) make sure you post as much information as possible (OS version /boxee version )and include your debug logs..
