Hello!

Latest "Heroes" episode came in as filename:

Heroes s3e8 - Villains 720p avi.avi

I looked in my TV-shows / Heroes, and I saw all other prior eps, but nowhere was the new one. So I looked at "latest added" and saw that it came sorted as "Movie: Heroes and Villains" ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0479925/ )

Okay, that was bad, but wait what happened next: I told it that it was wrong, and put in "TV Show". Boxee couldn't recognize that, and wanted me to put it in manually.

So I wrote "Heroes,3,8"

It made me pick "Heroes (en)" off a list, mkay.

Then it asked me "You want to apply this to the entire folder <name of folder where the file was>". I thought "sure, coz it's only Heroes ep's in there (although it has correctly recognized all of them already).

It chugged for a while, and then guess what happened when I opened by "Heroes" folder?

#1: All *EXISTING* episodes were now DUPLICATED.
#2: The new ep was still MISSING (although after some delay it did indeed pop up)

Now, what caused the *DUPLICATE* entries? And how do I get rid of them?

Thanks

hi TVmad

this is a known issue regarding the duplication ..to get rid of this you have 2 options either erase the library (settings>general) this will force boxee to remove the scanned content from the Movie/tvshow library and rescan from scratch again or you can rename your folder on your share to "Heroes -Tv series" or something similar..

regarding boxee not automatically picking up your file try renaming it to :

Heroes s03e08.Villains 720p avi.avi

Thanks; although I do not create the filenames, they come via RSS, and are unfortunately quite inconsistent at times (as you can see).

I guess this was an exceptionally "bad" case of poor naming, though.
