10,000 b.c. can't get recoginized, but works in osxmbc

Hi all,

Can any of you all see what i'm doing wrong with getting the movie 10,000 b.c. data scraped?

The name of the folder the movie file is in is called "10,000 B.C. (2008)" osxmbc/plex running the aeon skin can scrap up the data fine, can you all see any reason why boxee can't seem scrap up the meta data? Thanks !

can you please post the file name too? its also a parameter in boxee's way of doing it.

I've tried different variations on this and no luck... what's working for you guyys?? (you can just create an empty file to experiment...)

the problem seems to be the "," character which confuses boxee.
10000 should work.

I have similar problems with movies/tv shows that scrap fine in Plex but not in Boxee. Does Boxee use thetvdb and imdb scrapers?

Some examples that fail are:
Memento.2000.720p.mkv
bullshit.s06e07.avi (Penn and Teller: Bullshit, I've tried multiple forms of this name)
the.fountain.2006.720p.mkv
the.it.crowd (directory)
battlestar.galactica (directory)

Any help would be great.

hi.
yes - boxee uses the same methods as xbmc.
however it tries to "guestimate" the type of the media (tv/movie) and has some other logics involved.

we will test the list you provided.

It looks like boxee is using a combination of both imdb and thetvdb for 1 show(thus why there is no banner image for tv shows) - I completely agree with not using banner icons btw- But vulkan what should I try naming my 10,000 BC folder and movie too? Also can we get a hint(other than soon :) ) when the next boxee alpha will be released?
