hey gang,

ive been searching around, and ive seen mixed success getting these sites to work. i have updated to the most recent boxee, but im not getting any sound through the flash streaming sites. i know it works for some and not others. what do i need to do? or is this just an alpha thing? all the other stuff that isnt flash like trailers and podcasts and such work fine.

im only running boxee through the laptop, its not hooked up to a tv, using the onboard sound card. is it a setting situation i need to change?

im running a hp pavilion zv5000 laptop.

thanks!

im using hardy. i saw those threads, but they dont really describe my problem. my problem is that all of the flash sites have no sound whatsoever coming out o my laptops speakers. i havent tried to see if headphones work, but thats no good for me anyway.

all other stuff, mp3s, divx, podcasts, revision3 channels, all no issues at all. just sites like comedy central and hulu. those have great video, but no sound at all.

FIXED

problem lay with pulse audio. i followed the instructions at this forum for pulseaudio and it works

apparently i didnt have pulseaudio installed. fixed now, so if anyone running hardy is having the same problem as me, give this forum a whirl.

later!
