Crash after/during login

Hey!

I've just accomplished to compile boxee on Sabayon Linux 3.5 (based on Gentoo). I'm using the proprietary NVIDIA drivers (173.14.05) and I'm running KDE (if that makes any difference).

I had to install python 2.4 from an ebuild I found on the gentoo website (2.4.4-r14).

When I start Boxee (./Boxee from the trunk folder) it starts, asks for my login data and when I actually login it exits. When I now restart Boxee it shows me my login but the same crash appears.

I'm having the same problem. I'm also running gentoo with nvidia card.
Boxee compiled sucessfully and runs. After I entered my user credentials it crashes every time i try to connect

@axan - thanks! can you please include a stack trace from the core dump (gdb)? or even run in gdb, and provide the stack dump from when it crashes.

from your logs it looks like boxee is unable to load fonts, looking for them under /home/zoah/trunk/media/Fonts. you may have it in lower case, so please symlink to the expected path.

additionally, and what possibly is the reason for crash, is that boxee is unable to unrar the weather data. please install rar dev libraries.

Like I said before I don't have a media folder in trunk. I checked the source it's not in there either.

I have rar and unrar installed. I also just installed xbmc from svn and it's working perfectly including weather, media info and all.

i am not sure why you do not have the "media" folder.
maybe you can try copying this folder from your xbmc installation. see if that helps.

did that, i grabed boxee for ubuntu package and copied the media folder into my installation. It didn't help, still crashes on login.
