Media is only indexed/ID if played

Hello
Having trouble getting Boxee running on ATV to index my media. Only media that has been played shows up in the library. I know this takes time but let it sit idle for a couple days and no change.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

is the media local to the atv?

if so, read this:

keep in mind though, atv renames local files. because of this, the chances of boxee correctly recognizing them is slim-to-none.
