Hello
I've got MLB premium TV - just trying to watch an archived game on boxee - it says it's playing (time at the bottom) etc, but no video and no sound. Just a grey screen.
I can watch the same game in safari on the MLB TV site with no problems. I'm irritated! I only got boxee to watch MLB, can anyone help?
Thanks!

this just in from MLB support - maybe Boxee is actually going to be OK after all??
Archives from last season are currently unavailable on Boxee, I apologize for the inconvenience. Archives of games from this season will be available.

For those of you who have used MLB.TV on boxee, what can you say of the quality?
I am trying to decide whether to get a mac mini/boxee set up with MLB.TV, or just to get the local MLB Extra Innings package.
Any help will be appreciated!

I too cannot watch any MLB games on Boxee. I've attempted to watch on my AppleTV and Macbook Pro and get the same result as everyone else: The initial MLB logos with "Powered by Flash" followed by the grey MLB screen.

Games will be available on Boxee in April.
That's the message I just got from MLB in their support section. Suppose I'll have to take it at face value for now!

I just got Apple TV with Boxee (via ATVFlash) . Even with premium account I cannot watch any game. I get some yellow loading dot animation, then a grey screen, then nothing ...
Any ideas ?

Throwing in a "me too" here. I can get past the screen showing the two team logos, but then get stuck on the grey MLB screen forever when trying to watch any of the Spring training games...

First off... for everyone saying "me too", there is a message that comes up on the screen when you start MLB.TV in Boxee that says that they are NOT going to show pre-season games via Boxee. So its fair to say that 100% of Boxee viewers will be a "me too". You can watch the games fine via a browser, which is what I've been doing.
Back to this question. I had MLB Extra Innings with Time Warner last year and it wasn't bad, but they copy protected every game so that I couldn't use my Tivo HD to even record them for later playback on the same Tivo... and we almost never watch them live.... usually start an hour after the game starts. So that was one of many reasons I'm here now... building a system to allow me to cut TWC entirely.
I first tried an Acer Revo and it worked OK for most things, but MLB.TV was horrible on it... using a browser since Boxee isn't working yet. After a week of fiddling and tuning, and comparing with my Macbook Pro, I decided to buy a Mac Mini and try that. I've watched a few archived games for testing from 2009 and they are beautiful no the Mac Mini. You have to follow their instructions to load their plug-in and all, or you don't get that quality. So if Boxee stinks then we'll just watch them via the browser. I think that you'll give up a lot of the features of MLB.TV by using Boxee anyways. But it would be convenient for my wife since she hates computers. I have not had the best quality playback via Boxee when compared to other alternatives, so I am anxious to see how it does. But as for the service, it looks great on a Mac Mini in a browser.

I installed Boxee for Mac last night on a Mac Mini (which I think is running 10.5?) but when I click on the MLB icon, it tells me that I need to update to the latest version?
Unless I've missed something, I am on the latest version (by virtue of downloading last night) - any bright ideas?
My version is 0.9.20.10708 (and the build date is Feb 11 2010 - does this mean it's not the latest version?) - I don't REALLY want to be installing some bleeding edge version if I can avoid it, but I was really looking forward to being able to use mlb.tv through a nice interface that I could control with a remote control....

But that doesn't help. Boxee has had all winter to fix the kinks and now that the season started, we are missing out !
It worked fine last year, why can't we just use last years version ?

Even with the early access release it is not working for me. The error I get is "An error occurred during login". All the log says is:

Any ideas?
EDIT: I actually got the app to load, deleting boxee and reinstalling fixed it. Now I can't seem to load any streams. The log says:
ERROR: CDVDPlayer::OpenInputStream - error opening>>> [playlist://...
