I'm using a mini display port on my macbook pro to VGA on my 42 inch HD-TV. When I launch boxee, I get this.

Any ideas?

Why didn't you just adjust the settings?

settings -> Appearance -> Screen format & Overscan on the right Advanced Calibration.
then you can adjust the overscan if you dont see the arrows in the upper left and lower right just keep hitting up or down till you can looks like your overscan is wayyyy off.
EDIT: Your overscan may be so far off that you wont see the Advanced Calibration button but its there on the far right

Calibrate your monitor, its the resolution of your Mac that's not coinciding with the TV bro.
