Dell XPS M1710 running Ubuntu 8.04
Followed instructions on installation to the t and when I invoke boxee it goes to a full screen application thats black minus the border for 1second, shows full black screen for 1second, then disappears. When I see my screen again (after 2seconds max) I've checked my System Monitor and it doesn't ever show a boxee program running. I killed every non-essential program that was running with no effect.

Am running the latest supported drivers that I know of. If you'd like more hardware information please let me know.

hardware seems ok , please post the output of /tmp/xbmc.log (run terminal or Application > Accessories > Text Editor, and open /tmp/xbmc.log)

also, please try running boxee from command line, as it might give more insights.

open terminal and run /usr/boxee/run-boxee-desktop.

This weird it is not running ,i need to debug your logs

Please rename the attached files advancedsettings.txt to advancedsettings.xml and place this in /home/xxx/.boxee/UserData/ .

Run Boxee again and then please email your log file to marcel@boxee.tv.
