View Full Version : Some TV Show does not show up in UI ("CSI")

I think I found a bug.

I have a bunch of CSI, CSI NY and CSI Miami tv shows downloaded. The CSI NY and CSI Miami both show up on the "TV show" menu as well as the "Show all" menu. If I download a new version of either of these it shows up in the newly added section of the main page.
This is not true for the CSI tv shows, it does not show up anywhere. I checked my harddrive and the shows are within the same directory structure as the other CSI NY shows (I have a main dir that contains sub dir CSI, CSINY and CSIMiami). I also tried downloading a new version of CSI via that torrent downloader and it did not show up in the newly added section on the main page (or any other menu). I could play the show from the download menu (file format was avi)

Summary:
CSI NY/CSI Miami = works great.
CSI = does not show up anywhere.

I am using an ATV v2.2 and the latest Boxee as of Nov 1st 2008 (sorry I don't have the version at this time)

thanks (this is a great media center)

hi mwpei

can you go to videos>sources>{CSI share folder} are the videos found if so ,please try to manually recognize them..select a video choose recognize >TvShows>enter the name ,series and episode..

Are the CSI the same format as CSINY & Miami?

I will try this meathod of recognizing the files tonight and let you know.

As for your quesiton about the format, they seem to be the same format the are all avi files and the file names are all in the standard [Show][Sesson][Episod].avi format.
Do you think it could be thinking that the CSI_S01E01.avi is the same as CSI_NY_S01E01.avi?

I will update this after I try a few things tonight.

thanks,

This kind of worked, I applied it to the full dir so now I have a few non CSI shows that are marked as CSI shows, this is ok for now. The problem is it still does not pickup the CSI that I downloaded using boxee's rtorrent. The new CSI is in the downloads/boxee directory. I guess I need to go into the downloads/boxee and recognize each CSI file.

They are all the same, same file name format, same type of file. All 3 types of CSI files are in the same directory (I thought I had put them in different dir but I guess I did not)

So I guess my only question is: Is there anything that I can do to get boxee to recognize the CSI file automatically?

thanks.

So after you change the filename, how do you tell Boxee to perform a refresh?

boxee will re-index the folder as it is aware of a modification in your share..

I was having similar problems with The Office and I had to rename the root folder

The Office (US)

and the files where named as follows;

The Office 208 - Performance Review.extension

Hope this helps!

The other one that I am trying to figure out is Knight Rider (2008). I keeps referring itself to the 1982 one with the Hof.

Strange??
