Fresh install. Boxee won't start

I downloaded boxee today. Installed it. Launched it. Entered user name and password and then Boxee "quit unexpectedly". I relaunched it several times, cleared prefs and relaunched. No luck. All I get now is a welcome jingle with boxee logo and then it quits. I am running OS X 1.5.8. On a core duo intel Mac Pro. Any help please? I want to port urmystar media player to boxee.

same problem here. Works fine on Mac Mini with 10.5.8, but not on MBP with 10.5.8 where it starts up, jingles, then crashes.

I'm having the exact same problem. The first time after a fresh install it takes longer to crash, but then once it does, it crashes every single time about 10 seconds or so after it starts. I even removed .zip files from the Music directory because I had read that might help, but it didn't work.

I can't post the log here because it's too long for the board, but I'll send one to you Marcel separately in a private message. Thanks for your help.
